Picks to win

Colt: Viktor Hovland, +1400
“Guy who had a great week— had a chance to win last week at the PGA. I just don’t feel like he’s going to have any kind of hangover. He loves Colonial, he’s a ball-striking-Jesse. He’s going off at 14-1. He’s sixth in the Official World Golf Rankings. Has not missed a cut in 22 tournaments going back to the Scottish Open last year.”

Drew: Collin Morikawa, +1600
“He’s not cold, he’s not hot. But I just feel like this golf course setup just reeks of this guy and it’s Collin Morikawa, 16-1. Twenty-sixth at Oak Hill, I feel like this should be a very fitting golf course for him. I like iron players, accuracy, as does everyone else around [Colonial], hard to find someone better in either of those areas than Collin Morikawa.”

Darkhorses

Colt: Brian Harman, +6000
“He’s kind of a horses for courses kind of guy. He’s missed his two last cuts, but I don’t think they set up very well him. I didn’t like him at Quail Hollow. I didn’t like him last week at Oak Hill. But you go back to of course, it’s set up really good for him. Hilton Head, tied for seventh. Guys who play well at Hilton Head tend to play well at Colonial.”

Drew: Tom Hoge, +7000
“I just said I like accuracy and I like iron players. That’s Tom Hoge. Alongside Collin Morikawa, one of the best iron players in the game of golf. Not his best week at Oak Hill, but he did play the weekend, T58. Honestly, that’s not a place that I think Tom Hoge is like, ‘Yep, this is a place that I’m going to thrive on.’ It was long, it was wet, crazy hard. Get him back home to Fort Worth. Get him a little Billy Bob’s, you know, get him a little barbecue in the system.”
