After a 19-month wait, the 2020 Masters is finally here. Although it will look slightly different, at 7 a.m. ET Thursday, the opening tee shots will be struck, and our long Masters drought will be over at last. However, a rain drought is not in the forecast.

According to weather.com, scattered thunderstorms are expected overnight, and will continue into the morning. By 7 a.m., the forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of precipitation, and that high chance sticks around for much of the morning.

By the time the second wave of players tees off, there is a slightly decreased chance of rain at just 60 percent, but players will surely still have their rain gear packed and ready. But despite the soggy forecast, the temperatures are projected to hover in the mid-to-upper 70s throughout the day.

As the weekend nears, rain does not figure to be as prominent in the forecast. Although there is a chance of precipitation Friday through Sunday, it never gets to be above 20 percent. If the players can hang tough for what figures to be a sloppy Thursday, the weekend should be much more enjoyable.
