The 2026 Open Championship starts this week at Royal Birkdale in Southport, England. If you want to watch the tournament on TV, we have you covered. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the Open Championship on TV.

Where to watch the Open on TV

At most major championships, early TV coverage is provided by a cable channel, with a broadcast network picking up the weekend rounds. The same is true at the 2026 Open Championship.

NBC and USA will provide the TV coverage, with USA opening the tournament on Thursday and Friday at 4 a.m. ET, in addition to early coverage on Saturday and Sunday.

On the weekend, USA will begin the daily TV coverage at 5 a.m. ET on Saturday and 4 a.m. ET on Sunday, followed by lengthy NBC broadcasts from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. ET on Saturday and 7 a.m.-2 p.m. ET on Sunday.

But if you want to watch early coverage on Thursday or Friday, you’ll have to watch on Peacock starting at 1:30 a.m. ET. Additionally, Peacock will provide featured group coverage all week long, and you can watch USA’s telecast on Golf Channel Mobile.
