World No. 1 Dustin Johnson withdrew from The CJ Cup on Tuesday after he tested positive for Covid-19. Johnson was the co-favorite to win this week’s CJ Cup at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, with odds at 10/1. (Jon Rahm is also listed at 10/1 to win.)

According to a PGA Tour press release, Johnson experienced symptoms and then took a test, which came back positive. Johnson is the first player to test positive for Covid-19 since Tony Finau withdrew from the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open last week.

“Obviously, I am very disappointed,” Johnson said in the release. “I was really looking forward to competing this week, but will do everything I can to return as quickly as possible.”

The 36-year-old’s last start came at the U.S. Open last month, where he tied for 6th at Winged Foot.

J.T. Poston has replaced Johnson in the field.
