Saturday night at the Masters is an evening unlike any other.
The anticipation, the uncertainty, the speculation. Who will win the green jacket? It’s a question that was top of mind for everyone over the weekend — especially the GOLF team onsite.
Could the winner be one of Scheffler’s chasers like Max Homa? Xander Schauffele? Sean Zak wasn’t biting.
“He’s the greatest golfer on the planet,” Zak said. “We don’t have to overthink it.”
Zak was right. The tournament was relatively drama-free down the stretch, with Scheffler claiming his second Masters victory by four shots over Ludvig Aberg.
Dylan Dethier noted that this year’s Masters was unique in the sense that just about everyone is leaving the tournament happy — even Tiger Woods, who finished last of the players who made the cut.
The GOLF group capped the day with a round of Cincoro tequila, sharing the highlights of their week in Augusta.
For Claire Rogers, it was finding a new favorite viewing spot on the course, and watching Scheffler’s caddie Ted Scott receive a standing ovation in the wake of Scheffler’s victory.
Dylan Dethier spoke of his fondness for Augusta National’s old-school scoreboards.
“It’s part of what makes it such a present spectator experience, and a special tournament.” he said. “It’s a little thing that goes a long way.”
