Meet the 20 club pros who grabbed a spot in this week’s PGA Championship

The PGA Championship is an iconic — and potentially career-altering — event. A victory means an automatic entry into the Masters, U.S Open and Open Championship for the next five years (and the PGA Championship for life).

It’s also unique — since it’s run by the PGA of America, club pros can earn a spot in the field to tee it up alongside Tiger Woods and others. Every year, PGA pros at golf clubs around the country participate in the PGA Professional Championship in an attempt to gain entry to the PGA Championship. However, due to the continued impact of Covid-19, the tournament was canceled this year. Instead, the top 20 professionals — dubbed the ‘Team of 20’ — on the 2019 PGA Player of the Year list got spots to compete at TPC Harding.

Here are the 20 players who will try to achieve the spectacular this week:
