Picks to win and sleepers for the 2023 Zurich Classic

GOLF Subpar Podcast co-hosts Drew Stoltz and Colt Knost are as plugged into the PGA Tour as anybody. That’s good news for you, since you get to see their weekly picks for each tournament. Check them out below, and listen to more Subpar episodes, presented by FanDuel, here.

Tournament: 2023 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, TPC Louisiana, Avondale, La. (April 20-23)

FanDuel best odds to win: Cantlay/Schauffele +290, Morikawa/Homa +750, Im/Mitchell +950, Horschel/Burns +1300, Kim/Kim +1500, Theegala/Suh +2100, Kitayama/Montgomery +2400, Clark/Hossler +2500

Picks to win

Colt: Sungjae Im/Keith Mitchell, +950
“I do like [Cantlay and Schauffele] to win, but I’m not going to bet them; way too tight of odds for me, so for my favorite, I’m going with a very interesting team.”

Drew: Sam Burns/Billy Horschel, +1300
“Burns is the local boy. He’s going to have a lot of love down there. Playing some really nice golf and coming in hot. Billy’s not as hot, but I feel like he isn’t far off. I wouldn’t say warm, but I’d say trending to warm perhaps, and sometimes a different format, something a little different change of pace just to break the monotony of the week can help, and he’s had some nice success in New Orleans.”

Darkhorses

Colt: Scott Stallings / Trey Mullinax, +4600
“Not really sure why, but just feels right. Down in New Orleans, they are both southern boys.”

Drew: Joel Dahmen/Denny McCarthy, +4600
“Joel Dahmen, incredible ball-striker, can run really hot and when the putter gets going he’s extremely dangerous. Denny, best putter on Tour, he’s going to take a lot of pressure off Joel if he hits one a few feet by.”
