We won’t get a Ryder Cup in 2020, but that doesn’t mean the golf world is totally bereft of top-tier match play this fall. On Tuesday, four of the world’s best golfers (Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Justin Rose) will compete in the Payne’s Valley Cup, a match-play event from Tiger’s first-ever public course design.
The event is for charity, but with a matchup pitting two of golf’s most-decorated Americans against two of its best Europeans, you can bet there will be more than a touch of rivalry. Here’s everything you need to know on how to watch, including streaming information.
Payne’s Valley Cup match preview
True to form, the Payne’s Valley Cup features an old-school Ryder Cup matchup: Woods and Thomas against McIlroy and Rose. The group will play a mix of best-ball, alternate shot and singles over the span of their 18-hole match.
In truth, Tuesday’s match is as much about the venue as it is the players. Payne’s Valley (located at Big Cedar Lodge in the Ozarks) is Tiger’s first-ever public design and features some of the most jaw-dropping views we’ve seen from a TGW design to date.
While the event is sure to bring eyes to Tiger’s newest course design, all proceeds from the match will be donated to the Payne Stewart Family Foundation. Woods named the course for Stewart, the three-time major champion who was born not far from the course’s location.

The Payne’s Valley Cup will be broadcast on Golf Channel, with coverage including the likes of David Feherty, Jim “Bones” Mackay, Henni Zuel and Notah Begay.
Coverage begins live from Payne’s Valley at 3 p.m. ET and finishes around 7 p.m. ET.
