In case you haven’t noticed, the holiday shopping season is already on in full force. Early Black Friday deals abound, and if you’re a planner, you likely already have a running list of gift ideas for yourself and others. If you happen to have a golfer to buy for — or maybe that golfer is you! — we’re here to help with some gift inspiration.
With so many golf products on the market, it can be tough to decide what to give. GOLF staffers are lucky to have the chance to test out loads of new gear throughout the year. Just like you, we try to play as much as possible! Some of my favorite products over the years have been recommendations from others, so that’s exactly what this list aims to do. I asked my colleagues to share any accessories they added to the bag and loved this year to help others create some new favorites too.

The last time I played I lost my trusty 3-wood headcover, but I was hardly upset. It was worn and due to be replaced anyway, and now I have an excuse to buy a new one at Seamus Golf, one of my favorite golf-gear sites. Bushnell A1-Slope
I’ve tried so many different rangefinders over the past year, but this tiny one from Bushnell has been my favorite. The A-1 Slope is no frills, fits very nicely in one hand without being unwieldy and offers slope correction if you want it. You don’t need anything else. —Jack Hirsh

Cobalt Q-6SM Rangefinder
I am a simple man with simple needs which means toggling accidentally from “yards” to “meters” or getting stuck in a state of uncertainty about whether or not slope is on frustrates me when all I really want to know is how far I have to wherever I’m pointing my miraculous distance measuring device. Anyway, I’d never heard of Cobalt but stumbled into one of their rangefinders and it seems like they’ve heard my pleas. Durable. Magnetic! Simple. Winner. —Dylan Dethier

Grooveit Mini G
The Grooveit Mini G Brush is my favorite golf item I’ve put in the bag in years. You see, this brush isn’t your average groove cleaner. It’s small enough so as not be a hassle hanging from your bag, but it’s large enough to get all the grass and grime out of your grooves on the course. Perhaps the best feature of all, though, is the strong magnet that secures the brush to the carabiner. With this magnet holding it in place, you can snatch the brush from your bag and use it without fussing with a wire or chain. And thanks to the strength of the magnet, it easily snaps back into place when you’re putting it back; there’s no need to worry about losing it after use. —Zephyr Melton
