I’ve been in the market for a reliable duffle bag for a while, so when I stumbled upon the Seafarer Duffle from Ivy Cove, I was quite intrigued. I’ve got every other piece of luggage you could imagine, but a trusty duffle was the one thing missing from my repertoire.
As someone who take lots of overnight and weekend trips, I was growing tired of bringing my small carry-on luggage for a single change of clothes. However, when I packed everything into a single backpack, it was a tight squeeze. I wanted something compact enough to not feel overbearing while also having enough space for everything I needed for a weekend away. Thankfully, the Seafarer Duffle fulfilled those needs perfectly.
Within days of receiving the bag in the mail, I was leaving for a weekend to Florida. It was the perfect time to test out the capabilities of my trusty new duffle.
First off, the bag looks great. With a sleek black finish, it’s classy and chic. Also, with the top handles and detachable strap, I had options for how I wanted to carry the bag. Best of all, the bag is small enough to fit either in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of me on the plane. Perfect for when you’re running late and don’t have enough time to check a bag.
I will admit, the bag isn’t going to be large enough for everyone. With dimensions of 18.5” x 9” x 9”, the bag might not be able to fit everything for an over-packer. But for a minimalist like myself, the size is perfect.
