Srixon is back in the game-improvement iron space and for the first time, entering the super game-improvement market.
The company unveiled its new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, marking the company’s first true game-improvement iron since 2015 in the ZXiR and first-ever super game-improvement iron with the ZXiR HL. The last game-improvement iron was the Z355 in 2015.
“With the introduction of our new game improvement irons, and for the first time ever, a super game improvement model, Srixon is opening the door for more golfers to experience the performance and feel our irons are celebrated for,” Srixon VP of R&D Jeff Brunski said in a release. “These additions represent a new chapter in our innovation journey, bringing the advanced technologies and premium craftsmanship players expect from Srixon and making them available to all levels of players.”
The new irons feature a new i-ALLOY, which the company says is 10 percent softer than the 431 steel used in the ZX4 Mk II irons.

What are Srixon ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons?
At the core of the new ZXiR irons is the company’s new i-ALLOY. The material was developed specifically for the ZXiR irons, which are the first cast irons in the Srixon lineup since 2015.
Because of the lighter and softer material, Srixon created a new MainFrame milling pattern for ZXiR faces to redistribute mass, which amplifies ball speed and increases forgiveness. The material is used for the body and face for the 8-iron through sand wedge, and just the body for the long- and mid-irons.
To help inspire confidence at address, the ZXiR irons have a larger profile, including a longer blade length, wider sole, and more offset than the other ZXi irons.
The ZXiR HL irons have weaker lofts and optimized specs to help slower players get the ball in the air.
Both irons feature much of the same key technologies in the rest of the ZXi iron lineup, form the wildly popular Tour V.T. sole, to a progressive groove pattern that adjusts in width and depth based on loft.
Who are Srixon ZXiR irons for?
With the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, Srixon now has a complete iron lineup for every player on the spectrum. The ZXiR irons slot in right after the ZXi4 hollow-body irons as an iron for mid-to-high handicappers seeking high forgiveness and speed.
The ZXiR HL irons are aimed at players with slower swing speeds who need a boost to get the ball in the air. There is also a women’s version.
My thoughts!
When it comes to game improvement irons, a lot of designs on the market feature so much visible tech that can really be a turnoff for a lot of players.
With the new ZXiR irons, Srixon has done a really nice job keeping with the looks and shaping that has made their new ZXi lineup so popular, while expanding it to fit less skilled ball-strikers.
The aesthetics are sure to turn no one away as they really appear like a better-player iron, just larger.
The Tour V.T. sole can help a lot of players in this category, but until now, players would need to skill to play a players distance ZXi4 iron to get it.
Price, Specs and Availability
Srixon ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons will be available to pre-order and fittings starting Dec. 4 and stock sets will arrive in golf shots on Jan. 6, 2026.
Seven-piece (4-PW or 5-GW) sets will start at $1,099.99 for steel KBS Tour Lite shafts or $1,199.99 for graphite shafts.
