Alex Smalley holds the 54-hole lead at six under. But Smalley has never won a PGA Tour event, let alone a major. Jon Rahm, who is tied for second at four under, has. The two-time major champ has his sights set on completing the third leg of the career Grand Slam.
Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Patrick Reed are among a large group of players one shot further back at three under. Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler will head into the final round five shots back at one under.
