The 2026 U.S. Open begins this week at historic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island, N.Y. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the U.S. Open all week long.

U.S. Open preview: What and how to watch

As we head into the 2026 U.S. Open, two men’s majors have already been contested this season. Rory McIlroy picked off his second Masters title, and Aaron Rai captured his first major victory at the PGA Championship. Now those two players and a large field of tested pros will try to do what J.J. Spaun did last year, hoist the U.S. Open trophy at an iconic American course.

This will be the sixth time the course, ranked No. 5 on GOLF’s Top 100 Courses in the World list, has hosted the national championship. But it will be the first time in decades that both Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are not in the field.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, however, is teeing it up this week, as he vies to complete the career Grand Slam with his first U.S. Open victory this week.

So, too, is two-time U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau, who looks to recover from missed cuts in the first two majors of the year with a historic third U.S. Open title.
